Fulltime / Hourly / Non-Exempt Purpose:
To perform visual, mechanical and functional verifications to ensure compliance to quality standards and specifications.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years current Quality Control experience - preferably in an automotive parts manufacturing environment Familiarity with Steering, Brakes and Suspension components a plus Detail oriented with large emphasis on accuracy Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Mathematical and analytical skills to read and interpret blueprints, sketches or production specifications Can effectively use measuring instruments such as, calipers, scales, dial indicators, gauges and micrometers Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision Ability to multi-task in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Can work effectively with cross-functional departments as needed Initiative to complete inspections in accordance with production timeline.
Reliable with a strong work ethic, and Team Player mentality Strong oral and written communication skills Able to read, write and understand the English language Computer savvy; experience using MS Office:
Word, Excel and Outlook Able to work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all safety and PPE requirements Can carry, lift, push, pull materials/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more throughout the work shift Must be open to work overtime and every other Saturday Job Duties:
Inspection of automotive brakes, steering and suspension components, assemblies, multiple finished goods and raw materials Measures and/or test parts for defects and deviations from specifications Identifies defective parts and segregates Notifies appropriate party of defective product requiring corrective action Addresses quality concerns and may conduct defect investigation for production Maintains accurate data, production records and other documentation as required Organizes and keeps work area clean.
Performs other duties/projects as required Education/
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Automotive parts manufacturing experience required Minimum 5 years quality control inspection strongly preferred Job Type:
