As our Activity Assistant, you'll play a key role in enhancing the daily lives of our residents by planning and organizing a variety of activities.
From arts and crafts to outings and game nights, you'll have the chance to infuse fun and excitement into their routines.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Activity Director in planning and executing a variety of engaging activities, events, and outings for residents.
This may include games, arts and crafts, exercise classes, educational sessions, and more.
Assist in coordinating outings and special events, ensuring a lively and inclusive atmosphere.
Occasionally serve as a driver for outings, ensuring the safe and enjoyable transportation of residents.
Assist residents with mobility or other needs during outings or activities, providing support as required.
Build meaningful relationships with residents, understanding their interests and preferences.
Encourage resident participation and create a positive and inclusive activity environment.
Assist in maintaining an organized and inviting activity space.
Coordinate with the Activity Director and other staff to ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment for activities and outings are prepared and available.
Engage actively with residents, fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere during activities and outings to encourage participation and social interaction.
Assist in setting up and cleaning activity areas before and after events, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment.
Qualifications:
Passion for working with seniors and creating enjoyable experiences.
Valid License and Clean driving record.
Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and implementing a variety of activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt activities to cater to diverse interests and mobility levels.
Previous experience in a similar role or a related field is a plus.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
Ability to work Sundays-ThursdaysAbout the Company:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
