Jr Accountant

We have and immediate opening for a bilingual English/Mandarin Jr. Accountant for graphics company in the city of Placentia. This is a direct hire position and salary range is $40 to 50K DOE and company offers great benefits.


Summary: This is an entry-level position focused on supporting the Accounting Department in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a high level of energy and professionalism, be extremely detail-oriented, and have a positive 'can do' attitude. We are looking for someone who is interested in building a future with a progressive and reputable company. This person will be responsible for preparing and maintaining routine accounts receivable, account payable and general accounting transactions with an emphasis on company?s China division


Essential duties include the following:


Accounts Payable Duties


General accounts payable functions including resolving invoice discrepancies with the automated invoice processing solution. Work with purchasing departments and vendors to ensure quick resolution aligning with company policies.


Proactively engaged in the invoice flow, seeking out abnormalities to vendor invoices and seeking appropriate validation.


Ensure proper internal controls are followed such as purchaser is not receiving goods, etc.


Maintain an organized paperless filing system that meets company protocol.


Interact with various departments (including R&D, Operations, and Sales) regarding day-to-day activities related to departmental expenses and operating results.


Other Accounts Payable duties as assigned.


Accounts Receivable Duties


Daily posting of cash receipt to appropriate customer accounts. Research and resolve customer disputes with customer service and sales organization.


Work closely with Manager to ensure close loop communication on collection matters.


Gain and maintain a strong understanding of internal and external customer?s expectations. Seek out opportunities to continuously improve the process and communication flow.


Understand and ensure compliance with accounts receivable policies, procedures and requirements.


Manage and maintain customer accounts in SAP.


Other Accounts Receivable related duties as assigned.


General Accounting Duties


Accumulate the financial transactions necessary to conduct appropriate analysis and reconciliations, in preparation of journal entries.


Maintain documented and supported balance sheet reconciliations as assigned and meet critical deadlines. Assist in the month-end close, which will include but not limited to preparing journal entries.


Conduct general accounting functions to include balance sheet reconciliations, emphasis on company?s China division


Support internal and external audit functions.


Other finance and accounting duties as deemed necessary.


Required Education and Experience:


Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting; two years of accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment and intermediate excel.


Other Skills and Abilities


PC Skills that include working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access and Word. Working knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and ideally exposure to SAP.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
