This position is responsible for maintaining raw material (ingredient) or finished goods specifications, recipes and supplier quality data within a global regulatory database (Siemens) and will support all platforms in each division. The Quality Assurance Technician works closely with the Regulatory Compliance Documentation Specialist and Plant Quality Assurance to guarantee that the information is accurate and accessible. In conjunction with other team members, this position may be called upon to develop new specifications or to revise existing specifications. Additionally this position will assure that all required supporting certificates are current and recorded in the database.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use the Data Migration Tool to import specifications into the Siemens database.

  • Work with Quality Assurance, Procurement, and R&D to gather raw material or ingredient specifications.

  • Assure accuracy and completeness of data within the Siemens database. In the event the record is not complete, work with the appropriate parties to provide the needed information in a timely manner.

  • ?Review new records such as new formulate or new ingredients with the appropriate members in Product Development and Quality Assurance.

  • Upload supporting documentations and certifications into the Siemens database.

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality with supplier, customer, or company documents.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of food regulatory databases to assure regulatory compliance (Siemens systems preferred).

  • Knowledge of manufacturing practices and the product development process is beneficial.

  • Excellent verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills. Well-organized, disciplined, attentive to detail.

  • Bilingual in Spanish is beneficial.

  • Must have a working knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint software, and be proficient with MS Excel software.

  • Candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality and impartiality in all aspects of work and adhere to all procedures established.

  • Exhibits professional behavior appropriate to a food safety auditor, behaving with integrity, honesty, impartiality, and reporting any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Ability to maintain applicable professional development and training qualifications required for proficiency.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor?s Degree in Food Science or related

  • Minimum 3-5 years? experience with food manufacturing operations and QA programs and related regulatory experience.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of regulatory databases such as Siemens.

  • Experience optimizing Product Lifecycle processes within a Consumer Package Goods business processes used for the management of documents and administrative objects.
