We have an exciting opportunity for a contract?Quality Documentation Specialist to work with one of our top clients in Placentia, CA who focuses on food manufacturing.?
This is a 6-9 month contract with possbile extension.??
Summary:?This position is responsible for coordinating the completion of the specification review, verification and loading in the new specification system Interspec for the Healthy Fruit Segment. The specifications specialist is responsible for collecting spec data from the Healthy Fruit technical team, plants and other experts in order to ensure the timely review and loading of specs. This role requires a basic understanding of Product Specifications, Quality Requirements, data entry and project management
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Raw Material (RM) Specs:




  • Revise remaining ?draft? bulk and non-fruit specs in Interspec System to match up with new RM format (change control management)


  • Create drafts of missing RM specs.?


  • Manage Supplier QA and Procurement engagement on population of vendor information within the specs and completion of their reviews.?


  • Coordinate spec reviews (SME specific sections) and completion with technical team members.?


  • Schedule and facilitate review sessions as needed.



Finished Goods:




  • Track ongoing progress and completion of specs in Sharepoint and Interspec


  • Facilitate review sessions with technical team and report key progress metrics.


  • Draft missing FG specs



Case Labels:




  • Assist with creation of new customer specific templates


  • Collaborate with Packaging R&D and plant personnel to compile data



Customer Page:




  • Create ?Customer Requirements? reference document


  • Research and document unique requirements (i.e. COO, Best By coding, shelf life requirements, label requirements)



Photo Standards:




  • Track down missing information from technical team and manufactuing plants when current specification information needs clarification


  • Collaborate with scientists on creating photo standards for inclusion in specs.? Priority: Bulk Fruit, Blends, unique/special FP items



Minimum Requirements:




  • Bachelors degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or related field?


  • 2-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.? Experience with specification systems and ERP systems is preferred.


  • Proficient in Microsoft excel, word, and powerpoint?
