Massage Therapist - CA

The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing effective and client-focused services that increase member usage, retention, and results. The Massage Therapist helps build the Spa business through providing customized upgrades, presenting and securing customized home-use products, actively driving events, calling former Spa clients and "Non-Members" to get them back in, and to ensure that all clients are presented with membership options.
Responsibilities & Tasks
Follows all Total Woman Protocols to provides customized, safe, effective and high-quality services
Provide your clients with the latest techniques including but not limited to:
A specific body massage, treatment and/or wrap
Manually manipulating muscles and soft tissue to relieve pain and stress
Giving a relaxing massage and/or therapeutic massage
Maintaining a calm and soothing environment that enables the client to relax
Starting on-time, confirming the service they are providing, and ending on time
Ensures accurate billing for the services rendered including upgrades
Walks all clients out to the desk to ensure payment, secure retail purchase and get the client scheduled for her next appointment before she leaves
Executes the Spa Department tactics as directed, including special events and demos. Attend all required training for staff to keep up-to-date with current trends
Demonstrates strong knowledge of all current retail products, services, pricing,and promotions offered so that all services and sales are tailored to meet each client's unique needs
Stays within the Massage Therapist's scope of practice
Follows back-bar policies to provide clients with the products according to protocols and to minimize waste
Follows the professional standards including dress code, company policies, Spa policies and procedures
Makes confirmation calls to clients and follows up with anyone who doesn't show for their appointment within 15 minutes
Works together with Spa team to obtain departmental goals
Attends team and individual meetings as requested
Executes any individual or team plans to increase results
Ensures schedule is always up-to-date for two-weeks and built for growth
Consistently meets minimum sales expectations, 80%+ utilization and technical expectations
Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

Hold and maintain a current permit and/or license to practice, commonly in the city you will be working in
Training and experience in sales is required
Current CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
POS and Member Management Systems knowledge preferred
Physical Demands

The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and train clients. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific abilities required by the job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee frequently is required to:
Reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Strong hands and arms.
Massages can last anywhere from 30 to 120 minutes for one massage.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
