MAINTENANCE MECHANIC from Amtec Human Capital Placentia, CA
Job Description
Summary:
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, equipment by performing the following duties.
Also responsible for maintaining the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
1.
Performs general tasks in the maintenance of the plant facility, including machinery building, and grounds.
2.
Carries out routine preventative maintenance program including inspection and lubrication of machinery.
3.
Troubleshoots and repairs machinery.
4.
Performs electrical maintenance, repairs and installation of 110, 220, 480, single and 3 phase.
5.
Pipefitting and plumbing tasks, with occasional janitorial repairs.
6.
Troubleshooting and repair of machinery.
7.
Electrical Maintenance.
8.
Building repairs.
9.
Welding includes arc, stick, tig and mig.
10.
Performs fabrication using lathes.
11.
Handling Hazardous Waste and following procedures.

Experience:
Minimum HS diploma and 5 or more years experience in related areas, and or trade school.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must be able to do basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
REASONING ABILITY:
Good common sense, both analytical and intuitive CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
None required, but any that pertain to maintenance would be beneficial for their area of expertise.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Self starter that requires very little supervision.
Electrical maintenance - safe, working knowledge, not electricians level.
Welding - ARC, TIG, MIG experience or working knowledge in any of these areas is helpful.
In maintaining equipment:
a working experience for some fabricating of repair parts.
Not a machinist level of experience.
Read blueprints and schematics.
Must operate forklift PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
